Our gites are situated 350 km. south of Paris in
the Creuse region of the Limousin in South West France. 25 km North east of
the regional capital of Limoges in an area known as the Monts d'Ambazac. It's
situation and excellent motorway network makes it easily accessible from the
UK and the perfect stopover point for a two centre holiday in Spain or the
Mediterranean coast.
Normally we recommend the ports of Le Havre and Caen, with a quiet motorway
heading east towards Paris (A13). By leaving the A13 and taking the A154 /
N154 at Rouen you can avoid Paris altogether and rejoin the motorway network
(A10) just to the north of Orleans. From Orleans follow the A71 to Vierzon
then the A20 towards Limoges. Equally, from Calais the coastal motorway south
will bring you to Rouen so there is no longer any need to suffer the heartpounding
trip around Paris! Under normal circumstances you should allow around 7 to
8 hours from disembarkation in France to arrival at Les Hirondelles. We can

Increasingly more popular and cost effective. Les Hirondelles is just 35 minutes
from Limoges Airport with cheap flights from Stanstead, Liverpool, East Midlands
and Southampton airports. Alternatively there are flights to Poitiers, around
90 minutes drive. Toulouse airport is 2 hours 40 minutes away with flights
